Another Blessed Ministry was born out of a simple but heavy reality.
Too many people are struggling quietly.
Too many needs are being met only halfway.
And too often, help comes without dignity, follow-through, or hope for what comes next.
We exist to change that.
We are a Christ-centered nonprofit organization serving the Richmond community by meeting immediate needs and walking with people toward stability, restoration, and renewed purpose.
Not just relief.
Not just charity.
But relationship, structure, and faith in action.
Hunger doesn’t wait for long-term plans.
Cold weather doesn’t pause while people get back on their feet.
Life crises don’t resolve themselves after a single meal or moment of encouragement.
We saw the gap between emergency help and lasting support.
So we stepped into it.
Another Blessed Ministry exists to serve people where they are, while helping them move toward where they’re meant to be.
To uplift the homeless, the hungry, and the hurting through compassion-driven programs that provide food, clothing, mentorship, and access to life-changing resources, restoring dignity and inspiring transformation in every life we touch.
We believe faith should be lived out, not just spoken.
We believe people deserve dignity, not judgment.
We believe accountability and transparency honor both God and the community.
And we believe sustainable impact requires structure, clarity, and stewardship.
We don’t chase activity.
We pursue effectiveness.

We provide consistent access to food, essential clothing, and hygiene kits through trusted partnerships and community distribution efforts. As we grow, we are building toward ABM-led food distribution stands that allow us to serve with greater consistency, visibility, and care.

Many people need more than material support. Our Life Coaching Program offers non-clinical, Christ-centered guidance for individuals facing life transitions, instability, or crisis. Through trained volunteer coaches, we help people gain clarity, direction, encouragement, and connection to community resources.

We bring individuals, businesses, churches, and organizations together through intentional events that raise awareness, build relationships, and fund the mission. These partnerships allow the community to share ownership in solutions that serve Richmond well.

Blessed Beyond the Struggle is a podcast created to lift up those going through tough times. Each episode brings real stories, faith-filled encouragement, and practical steps to help you rebuild your life — one day, one decision, one act of hope at a time.
We are intentionally laying a strong foundation.
Clear programs.
Strong governance.
Responsible fundraising.
Trained volunteers.
Trusted partnerships.
Our goal is not rapid growth at the cost of integrity.
Our goal is sustainable impact that lasts for years to come.
Another Blessed Ministry (ABM) operates under a rigorous framework of internal controls to ensure absolute transparency and fiscal responsibility. Every financial transaction is governed by our Board of Directors to ensure alignment with our mission of community empowerment and stewardship.
We maintain a "Commitment to Integrity" policy, ensuring that 100% of donor-restricted funds reach their intended destination—whether supporting families in need, animal welfare via the Humane Society, or our facility acquisition fund.
Our seven-member Board of Directors provides continuous oversight of all ministry assets. By segregating financial duties and performing regular internal reviews, we maintain the highest standard of accountability required for federal grants and major philanthropic partnerships.
Another Blessed Ministry (ABM) is led by a dedicated Board of Directors committed to the restoration of community dignity. Under the direction of Tony Fortune Barnes, our leadership ensures that every initiative—from animal welfare partnerships to family support services—is executed with institutional excellence and fiscal integrity.
Our governance team is comprised of seven specialized leaders with backgrounds spanning NATO, major corporate retail (Advance Auto Parts), and international business development. This multi-disciplinary oversight ensures ABM operates with the highest level of accountability and strategic growth.
ABM executes a dual-focus mandate: restoring human dignity and animal welfare. Our core pillars include Faith-Based Youth Mentorship, the ABM Humane Society partnership for neglected animals, and our Life Coaching program designed to move families from crisis to stability.
Through strategic alliances with corporate partners like Walmart, Costco, and the Humane Society, ABM is expanding its footprint across the Richmond region. We are currently focused on institutional capacity building and the acquisition of a permanent community resource facility.
Your donation will help us continue our mission and support our community. Every dollar counts and will make a difference in the lives of those we serve.
